Endorsements are a powerful way to show community support for my campaign. When individuals, organizations, or leaders publicly back my candidacy, they’re affirming their trust in my values, leadership, and commitment to our schools. These endorsements help voters see who stands with me, and why.

MSEA is the Maryland affiliate of the National Education Association (NEA), the nation’s largest union representing educators and other education professionals, with 3 million members across the country. MSEA advocates for educators, students, and strong public schools throughout Maryland, working to ensure educators have the resources, support, working conditions, pay, and benefits they need to help every student succeed.

The Wicomico County Education Association is a non-profit organization that represents the more than 1,500 educators in Wicomico County.

From a Wicomico County Educator...

As a 4th-grade public school teacher in Wicomico County, I know firsthand how important it is to have school board members who understand that every decision ultimately affects our students, teachers, and families.

That is why I am proud to support David Plotts for the Wicomico County Board of Education.

David has demonstrated a commitment to students while also recognizing the important role teachers and school staff play in helping children succeed. His focus on academic achievement, strong literacy and math foundations, school safety, modern facilities, teacher support, and responsible use of taxpayer dollars reflects the issues that matter in our classrooms every day.

What I appreciate most is David’s commitment to listening. Public education works best when educators, parents, students, and community members have a voice in the conversation. David’s experience on the Board of Education and his emphasis on transparency and parental involvement are important qualities for our school system.

As a teacher, I want leaders who will keep students at the center while respecting the professionals who work with them every day. David brings that perspective and a genuine commitment to Wicomico County Public Schools. That is why I am proud to endorse David Plotts for Wicomico County Board of Education, District 7.

Democratic Municipal Officials (DMO) is a national association of elected Mayors, City Council Members, School Board Members, Special District Representatives, and other local leaders who identify with the values of the Democratic Party.

Named a Honor Roll Candidate by Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence Action. The organization promotes cultural change, legislation, and policy dedicated to keeping educators, students, and families safe from gun violence.

The Gun Sense Candidate distinction is not an endorsement from Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America or Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund. Instead, it is a signal to Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense supporters, volunteers, and voters across the country that David advocates for gun violence prevention and will govern with gun safety in mind, if elected.

Shore Progress is a grassroots organization serving all nine counties of Maryland's Eastern Shore. They are dedicated to building power from the ground up through civic engagement, community-based organizing, policy advocacy, and electoral action.

The campaign has been awarded the School Board Integrity Project Candidate Pledge Seal, a distinction granted to school board candidates who commit to leading with integrity, respect, excellence, belonging, and truth. The School Board Integrity Project is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to strengthening public education by promoting honest, student‑centered leadership and inclusive governance at the local school board level. While the Candidate Pledge Seal is not an endorsement, it signifies a candidate’s public commitment to advocating for all students and placing their needs first.

Run For Something is a national organization dedicated to supporting the next generation of local leaders who are committed to serving their communities. It reflects a shared belief in strong public service, inclusive leadership, and showing up for our community—especially our schools.

The Maryland National Organization for Women PAC supports candidates who champion equality, justice across communities, and ending violence against women.

The Mental Health Now Candidate designation is not an endorsement. Instead, it is a signal to voters that a candidate has committed to advancing mental health policy.

Progressive Maryland is a statewide nonprofit advocacy organization promoting racial, social, economic, and environmental justice. With over 120,000 individual members, supporters, and organizational affiliates statewide, we are leading the fight for progressive change in Maryland through grassroots organizing, public education, and legislative advocacy.

314 Action is the only national organization working to elect scientists across all levels of government—from the Senate down to local school boards. The organization is powered by a grassroots community of over six million people supporting scientists, doctors, and STEM professionals who will use science and facts to address our most pressing issues like climate change and health care.

The Wicomico County Democratic Club engages members in public policy and serves as a forum for Democratic leaders. The club recommends David as a one of the "Reasonable Candidates" with "Exceptional Qualifications" in their advertisement in the Salisbury Independent.
