This evening I attended the Pinehurst Elementary School Spring Concert for Beginning Orchestra and Band, led by Mr. Buck Burton. One of my son's plays the Viola. It was the first time in three years they were able to have the concert, and the first in-person family event at the school. It was wonderful to see the progress the students have made this school year, going from never playing an instrument to where they are today. We are lucky to have such a devoted and longtime teacher (30 years) as Mr. Burton.
