David was born and raised here, in Wicomico County.  Attending Pemberton Elementary, North Salisbury Elementary, Bennett Middle, and Bennett High schools.  His mother was a teacher for Wicomico County Public Schools for 25 years, teaching Business and Computer Science at Parkside High and Wicomico Middle.  


​​David has practical experience and leadership to work with fellow board members and the superintendent to implement the vision of educating each student to his or her full potential.

David is...

  • an experienced leader who has served on the City of Salisbury Parks and Recreation Committee since 2013, as Chairman since 2014,

  • a public servant who has worked at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore since 2008, and is currently their Controller.

David attended Salisbury University where he received his Bachelors of Science from the Perdue School of Business, in Information Systems Management.  He then attended the University of Maryland University College and received his Masters of Science in Management with a Finance specialization, and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit and Association Financial Management.  David is an alumni of Shore Leadership - class of 2017, a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and the Society for Human Resource Management.  In 2019, David was appointed by the Wicomico County Board of Education as the parent liaison to the Board's Parent Advisory Committee, from Pinehurst Elementary School. In 2020, David was appointed to the Mayor's Environmental Policy Task Force, by Salisbury Mayor Jacob Day.  In 2021, David was appointed to the Wicomico County Charter Review Committee by the Wicomico County Council.

David and his wife Ashlee have four children attending Wicomico County Public Schools and are members of Asbury United Methodist Church.
